Welding rod is a thermoplastic sealant between linoleum or vinyl sheets. Every linoleum or vinyl sheet has a matching welding rod. Welding allow the junction between strip edges. A groove is formed and the weld is then applied using hot air gun fitted with a fast welding nozzle.
For most of our Floor Decor Kenya products we have a matching rod colours and a Uni-coloured rod.
Installation process
The installation process for both recipes is the same. There is a difference in melting behavior between the rods, which might be noticed. In below image you can see what it looks like if the welding machine is set too cold, too hot or at the right temperature.
